and why would rjs care hes not a lefty or a righty

I actually do care because Bayh is/was a centrist and his (supposed) reasons for leaving echo some of my own frustrations. But whatever, I'm not compelled to talk that much about it.

Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

This might be the first article I've read in two months that is critical of Obama while striking an Independent tone and doesn't sound like it comes from the lunatic fringe.

Part of the problem that I've had with the criticism of the President is that there is almost always an ugliness to the tone. Name-calling, etc. The same thing happened to Bush but not until after he had spent years proving how inept he was. We are barely a year into Obama's term and the Right is hooting and hollering like a bunch of bullies in the school yard. Anyway, this article doesn't do that and has some outstanding points to boot.

i have a buddy who works in IT for the marine corps and apparently foxnews.com was just blocked and can no longer be viewed from marine corps computers.  he said that the community mailbox they have is getting bombarded with hate mail.

i'd be lying if i said i wasn't enjoying this.  he's forwarded me a couple of the emails and they are farging priceless.  one guy was bitching because greenpeace isn't blocked but now foxnews is.  good stuff.

Evan Bayh explains himself and makes a lot of sense in the process.

I think that he should have stuck around and pushed for reform if this is how he really feels, but his thoughts here, especially around the tone of debate and gerrymandering are farging spot on.

Agreed, senators really aren't supposed to care about their elecotorate.

Jon Stewart did a commendable job tearing apart the CPAC and Glenn Beck's idiotic speech during it.

Glenn Beck, after whining about those evil progressives taxing people for health care and public services and such:
"How did I learn all these things? I taught myself. I read. I went down to the library, it's free!"

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds
