Were over a year away from d day on this.

The league is such a magnanimous power I just can't see them giving it up.

The superbowl is gonna top 100 mil in viewership. Its too much $ to walk away from
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Why is Rex Ryan getting fined and catching so much heat for flipping the bird to a guy that spat on him?

Eagaholic

Because somebody's 8 year old kid might look at Rex Ryan as a role model, and might give the finger to some other kid who spits on him.

were they elected, or just the nominees?

edit: nevermind, saw it on espn's front page.

nfl network has a pretty good show on right now where they are bringing the guys up on a stage and talking to them

jerry rice was awesome...steve young told the classic story about winning the superbowl and five days later going to the 49ers complex to clean out his stuff for the offseason and he looks out on the practice field and jerry rice is running wind sprints

QuoteWarren Sapp questioned in domestic violence case
Posted by Mike Florio on February 6, 2010 5:06 PM ET
It's been a bad couple of days in South Florida for a couple of former University of Miami players.

On Thursday, Michael Irvin was sued for rape.  On Saturday, Warren Sapp is being questioned in connection with a domestic violence case, according to Omar Kelly and Brian Haas of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel.

"He's being questioned in reference to a domestic battery," Miami Beach police spokesman Juan Sanchez told the Sun-Sentinel.  "No one has been arrested yet."

I bumped into Sal Paolantonio a couple of minutes ago, and he said he's reporting that NFL Network has pulled Sapp off the air, at least for now.  NFLN has decided to keep Irvin on the air.

Irvin currently is appearing on NFL Network as part of the Hall of Fame announcement show.

Excellent. Now if Keyshawn Johnson can just get charged with pedophilia, he'll complete a POS trifecta.

QuoteWarren Sapp Arrested for Domestic Battery

Posted Feb 6th 2010 6:05PM by TMZ Staff

Former NFL star Warren Sapp was arrested by Miami Beach police this afternoon and charged with misdemeanor domestic battery stemming from an allegedly violent confrontation with his girlfriend.

According to the Miami Beach Police Department, Sapp is accused of attacking his girlfriend of two years at around 5:00 AM Saturday at the Shore Club Hotel.

According to the arrest report, the alleged victim had "a swollen right knee and bruises on the back of her neck."

She claims Sapp allowed her to sleep in his hotel room -- then came into the room early in the morning and pulled her out of bed. The alleged victim says they began arguing about guys she was hanging out with earlier Friday night.

Sapp's girlfriend told cops that during the argument Sapp "grabbed her and began to choke her." He eventually threw her out of the room, she claims.

When cops spoke to Sapp, he told them he had allowed the woman to stay in his room -- but later on decided he wanted her to leave because "he was expecting company." He told police he was trying to help her and she fell.

Sapp is in Miami for the Super Bowl and serves as an analyst for the NFL Network and on Showtime's "Inside the NFL."

The NFL Network released a statement saying they were aware of the incident and that Sapp will not appear on the NFL Network until they review the matter.

Sapp is scheduled to co-host an event at BED Miami tonight. They tell us they haven't heard about the incident and, as of now, everything is still a go.

Luckily he stopped after the battering. He'd be going away for life if he had a deep fryer.

The man. The myth. The legend.
