Again. She was touted as the best prospect outside of Candice Parker pretty much ever. She took a year off from basketball and is still the 2nd leading scorer in her conference, and dropping 30 point nights and double doubles like it's nothing.

The 6ers could give away tickets for free right now and they still wouldn't be cared about. In fact, caring about the 76ers is probably the LEAST philly thing to do as they're by and far the 4th most prominent team now a days. More fairweather casual fans =/= people actually caring more.

Nova is kind of a big deal but as of right now it's more of a "oh Nova's doing good"...then in March the entire area will become huge Nova fans. Then after the tourny is over the bulk of the people will go back to not caring about basketball again.


And don't hide your love for Lifehouse.

attendance in collegiate and pro teams teams doesnt always relate. its the most popular sport in this town BY FAR and god knows how many straight ballers have come out of here.

haha it's a popular sport because it's the easiest to go down to the local park/court and find people to play. That doesn't mean the people of Philly care more about basketball than the Eagles, or the Phillies. The casual fan will flock to basketball more than hockey but the Flyers have a core group of fans that are there no matter what while the 76ers need to be good to get anyone's interest.
