Street Fighter II, Mortal Kombat (1 and 2), NBA Jam, Simpsons, TMNT and X-Men were the only arcades that mattered from 1989 through 1994

Sarge, this was Dragon's Lair:

You were basically playing a cartoon, then you'd get half a second to hit the right combination of joystick + button or you died

I pretty much agree with all of them. There were some sweet racing games too though, you sat down in...just can't remember them

i got it when it first came out, it is a fun game, but when you get to the harder levels (which doesn't take long) it becomes just about impossible and your frustration level will rise quickly.

well, going by the name alone I'd guess it's a trials game.  as in, tricky low speed obstacles to be climbed, balanced upon, hopped over, etc.  motorcycle or possibly bicycle

Trials is pretty sweet. Challenging as hell. Great graphics for arcade game. Once you try the demo, then your hooked. Stuck at Beaver 2 medium

Finished up my first run through Dragon Age. Typical BioWare game, what with the party management and henchman banter. AI wasn't too bad, but the ranged henchmen sometimes required babysitting. I have two complaints about an otherwise great game. First would be the load times, which were terrible. Getting up, going to the bathroom, and coming back to see the same loading screen terrible. The second would be how stupid Wynn looked in any robe besides the one she came with.

I'm gonna play it a couple more times to at least get all the starting area stories. I thought the tower was fun to start, but it's downright empty compared to the dwarven nobility stuff.

I'm about 3 levels deep in Hard setting on Trials. Totally stuck on level Technique. There is a double section with one section pretty steep and the next real steep. I can't figure out how to get grip to get up the 2nd part. Everytime I try the front wheel lifts and I fall back. There has to be a way to bounce yourself up high enough to get traction. So frustrating! What a great game though, very challenging. I can't imagine how hard the Hardcore levels are...

I've been playing Mass Effect and Mass Effect 2 quite a lot. Essentially they took Knights of the Old Republic, cut out the Star Wars parts, and added a space marine. I am 100% positive they used every doodle of space stuff the artists ever made in the 80s and put it in these games.

The load times are incredibly short in ME2, but it needs some major patching still.

is Mass Effect an RPG or a first person shooter? Im confused
