Carroll close to five-year, $35m deal

Sam Farmer of the Los Angeles Times reports that Pete Carroll and the Seahawks are "close to a deal" that would pay Carroll $35 million over the next five seasons to be Seattle's coach and team president.

Carroll has often attributed his mediocre record in New England to his lack of control over personnel.  That wouldn't be a problem in Seattle, where the president tag indicates Carroll would run just about everything.

USC appears to be in the dark about the Carroll stories.

"In the past, [Carroll] hasn't commented on such report," USC sports information Tim Tessalone said.  "He was not expected in today. I've put a message out to him, but haven't heard back yet."

I agree with you guys, but the people who vote on it probably saw Woodson has more picks, FF, and TDs. They would have had to actually watched the games or done more research to realize Reevis took opposing teams #1 receivers completely out of the games
