on what earth is quinten mikell overrated...he has never been good...you have to be rated to be over

taylor mays cant play safety in this league imo...but draft him put 15-20 lbs on him and he could be a special linebacker

Mikell was named 2nd team all pro last year, meaning he was one of the two best SS in football last year apparently.  That's a weeeee bit overrated.

Yea that's what I'm saying though.  If you're 2nd team all pro you are rated pretty highly by the media.  He certainly isn't that good.

i honestly have never heard his name ever mentioned by the national media...in fact im pretty sure most of them have no idea who he is

and second team all pro is meaningless...how many votes do you get to make second team...i think its literally like 1...so probably some moron like rich hoffman voted for him which made him "second team"

he's been touted as a pro-bowl caliber safety in every single farging game by the announcers.  but yeah, a guy who has started at safety for 2 years in the nfl is totally anonymous the national media.  they only know peyton manning and the dallas cowboys

As noted before this team does it to us every single year - Good start, poor games mid-season, hot December, January let down.

It is the same repeatable pattern every year.

As noted by others but my take:

-the Kolb era has to begin.  Thank you Donovan, hell of a ride, but it's time.
(if we don't we'll probably lose him at some point to FA)
-other than the front four and rotational players everything behind them in garbage.
Eagles cannot play aggressive D unless there is strength behind the front four.
-Coaching...just don't know but there is a passion missing.

If you guys want linebackers, I think McClain from Alabama or Weatherspoon from Missouri would be great. Like them both a lot. Florida has some nice linebackers and DEs too.

I think LDE is the top need.

1. LDE
2. LBs
3. FS
4. CB depth

However, I think they are going to stay with the LBs they've got.

They have a lot of areas they need to upgrade and have no excuses not to. LDE being another. Safety being another. Offensive line should be one, but who the hell knows if they decide to rely on Shawn Andrews or not.
