i figured bouch was still terrible.. must've been what the grumblings were about.

um.. weren't they up like 2-0 at some point .. i thought i remember seeing that when the last time i checked.  idiots.

Yep, they were up 2-0, then pretty much turtled the rest of the game and let Washington take control.

so yesterday i got a letter from the flyers stating that monday is phillies night at the flyer game...says come out to the flyers game and SUPPORT THE PHILLIES and that they will be giving out phillie rally towels at the flyers game!!

pretty amazing and a great gesture by the team to support the cities other teams...something banner inc could really learn from

nice, too bad they are a total mess.  They tried to sneak Randy Jones thru waivers yesterday, and he got claimed today by the kings so their on the hook for 1.37mm of dead money.  Not to mention rumors that Bob Hartley was spotted in philly today, if he becomes the coach, i'm done.  That guy is the biggest Hoyda in the world

it was just preposterous that everyone thought a 1000 year old defenseman was going to magically make the team better....and especially make up for all the goals they lost from a team whose offense was already their weak link

the fact that in most games aaron asham or dan carcillo have been on one of the first two lines says all you need to know

this flyers game is awesome today...highly entertaining...second period had three fights in like two minutes...and carolina is really bad so the flyers are even winning

QuoteI'm sick of grown men acting like 2-year olds. Colby Armstrong, Slava Kozlov, Evgeny Artyukhin, Alexander Ovechkin, Steve Ott and Tuomo Ruutu. It was a bad week for undisciplined acts – hits from behind, knee-on-knees and slew foots. And only half were disciplined for their transgressions.

And then there's Mike Richards(notes).

No supplementary discipline. Described as legal. But as cheap and dirty as they come.

It was head hunting at its worst.

Mike Richards is a gritty, hard-working player. But David Booth(notes) can't talk on the phone or sit in front of his computer for more than five minutes at a time right now. Then he has to lie down. Five minutes followed by 55 just to recover. All courtesy of Mike Richards.

Purists say it was just a good physical play. He didn't leave his feet. It was a shoulder, not an elbow. It wasn't a late hit. But man, it was reckless. We have seen way too many players leaving the ice on stretchers courtesy of head shots. And some of them were carried off with career and life-altering injuries.

Sure, hockey players at every level need to keep their heads up. But there's a huge difference between a good, hard check in the heat of the action and a headshot when the opponent's guard is down.

What a dumb bitch.

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

how great was it when Montador and Carcillo went into the penalty box, and they forgot to turn off the mic's in there.  Carcillo was talking all kinds of shtein.  JVR sucks

JVR's skating and hands are really ridiculous.  Kid again is surpassing anything i thought about him, and validating his spot where he was picked.  He's leading the league for rookies in pts, and leading the flyers in assists

you buying a set?  The wife loves the ones from the vet, yet she's not feeling 400 for spectrum seats.
