Because running the wildcat means running the ball, which means winning football games and Andy don't roll like that.

Three things can happen when you throw the ball, and two of them are bad.

90% of the time they come out in the wildcat they, run. every time vick is in, they run. im not sure who they are fooing at this point with the wildcat or vick. they havn't shown too many looks and its predictable. leave it up to andy reid to make the wildcat predictable. the only time the wildcat has been effective is when pimp gets the ball. every other attempt is pathetic so far.

the wildcat is not designed to fool anybody majority of the time. the dolphins have 3 basic plays they run out of it with an occasional toss to the te. thats supposed to be the advantage--the fear of getting burnt keeping the safeties back.

if you have a good run blocking scheme, 2 power runners and a dual-threat qb it could def be successful. the Eagles have 1 of 3 and Im very generous with that 1.

This game was typical of everything wrong with this team. Bad...no...terrible coaching and playcalling, a line that is inconsistant, and a qb who doesn't have it in him to reach down in his guts, lead a team and win games like this.

Seriously, the friggen' Raiders?? It's like the kid you're trying to potty train. You think he's doing good until you get him out in public, and he shteins a load clean up his back.

The one part of the game I was happy with was that Vike didn't come out and stomp on the pidgeon.

How about the one of the few time when they did try to run the wildcat, at the end of the first half?
Hey, clock's running down and we are short on time, let's change the entire package!

Honestly, I just can't make myself get mad at this loss. I actually found myself enjoying it a little, just because it was so funny that a team this talented can manage a loss like this every year.
Westbrook averaged over 8 yards per carry, yet only got 6 carries. The pass rush was great, yet all they did was pass. I don't understand how these coaches can just refuse to learn the same lesson year after year.

still looking for all the talent on the team...

Offensively they definitely have some talent, I don't care how much talent you have though.  If you can't block a teams front 7 and have something closely resembling balance you will not be effective.

Defensively they have some solid talent on the front 4 and in the defensive backfield.  Their LBs probably couldn't start for Temple.

im not saying they have no talent but i would never single them out as a team with a lot of talent....or say to myself "how does this team lose they are so talented"

they are just another nfl team

I disagree, they have a lot of talent on offense. They don't have the coaching or the qb to utilize it. Least they didn't against the Raiders.

Munson

Yes, a team with a top 10 QB, RB, and a guy who could very possibly be a top 10 WR by the end of the year....oh and the 4th most productive TE in the league right now...you're right, they're not talented.

As has been pointed out, all that talent won't mean shtein without solid blocking from the line and a continued 80/20 pass-run ratio.

And on defense-Cole, Bunkley, Asante, Sheldon=talent. The lack of a real MLB this year and the overall "meh" that is Gocong and Jordan on the outside really sucks though. Abiamiri is also pretty meh at this point, but that's more than anyone here expected after his first couple years.

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

ice grillin you

westbrook is a shell of his former self as is donovan....neither are top talents anymore...again they dont suck but at their age and with their health they dont have talent that flys off the charts

pimp is a top 3 wr with an accurate qb

lol @ celek being talented

a ton of people expected a lot from abiamiri as long as he could stay healthy

sheldon is not talented...hes a very good cb but again we are talking noteworthy talent...we werent talking about good players

so really look thru the roster and tell me the eagles are more talented that the best teams in this league...they arent...they are just another slightly above middle of the pack team

other than that good post as usual
