Bingo.

By the way, it was figured out that the post oc ergo propter hoc type of thinking was a logical fallacy 5,000 years ago Romey and other random idiot dude.

Get with the times man.

Sgt PSN

actually, they were decent teams and were in the playoff race in september almost every year between 2000-2006.  they weren't world series caliber teams but they were playoff caliber.....or at least they would/could have been if the so called "leaders" of the team were a bunch of bitch made mental midget hoydas.

MDS

Yea I'm pretty sure that's not it.

Those teams weren't good. In 03 rheal cormier was the best reliever. In 05 they had a mediocre at best rotation.

Blaming their shortcomings on abreu not being your definition of a leader is silly
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

I never understood the massive amounts of Abreu hate either. I was and still am a Bobby A fan. He needed to go and Giillick got robbed in the deal, but it was a money dump and ol' Pat certainly made up for that trade.

Sgt PSN

don't get me wrong, i was/still am a bobby a fan too.  but he didn't bring much to the table outside of his bat.  abreu wasn't "the" problem but he definitely wasn't part of the solution either.  he fits in much better with a team like the yanks or angels because no one is looking to him for anything other than to get on base and drive in runs.

MDS

but on the phillies he was the king.

yes, the soft spoken broken english speaking rightfielder was the one true leader.

lol at the seamhead dropping latin on me.

please.

get through four years of college first then get back to me, jackie.

NY Times: we need a Yankees/Dodgers World Series

Quotewhat Major League Baseball needs is a great World Series, a Series for the ages. And with all due respect to those two other potential matchups, it's a Yankees-Dodgers World Series that could take the game back to its roots at a time when baseball desperately needs to recover a portion of the trust, if not the innocence, that it has lost in the steroid era.

yup....a series between A-Rod and Manny will restore our trust

ice grillin you

the really unfair thing that will come out of a dodgers yanks ws is that 20 years from now the phils rays postponed clinching game series will not get the credit it deserved for saving the sport
i can take a phrase thats rarely heard...flip it....now its a daily word

igy gettin it done like warrick

im the board pharmacist....always one step above yous

Nice try, Bill Rhoden.

But the innocence will never be recaptured. Not in the days of the exorbitant ticket prices in Yankee Stadium or the steroids questions hanging over the game like a fog.

Here's to a Nationals/Royals series!

This is still only the very beginning of the artificial enhancement era.

Some of the Mets could use labiaplasty.

Playoff baseball comes through again!

Angels take the lead in extra's; ARod ties it up with a cheapie to RF.

3-3 in the 11th with the rain coming down
