mcnabb said that comment with the biggest grin and couldnt of been more facetious

and when you think about it..would any defensive corner really be threatened if they saw a fat McNabb split out wide or even Vick for that matter? jail or not..you dont just step on the field and beat press coverage...hell...95% of the leagues wr's cant beat the press

ice grillin you

the press coverage was him trying to be funny...the rest was 100% serious...hes said it on numerous occasions...he even has said that when trying to get reid to take a chance on vick he threw out all the possibilities of different formations and the like

its not even the point whether hes right or wrong or that it probably was tough for him...after all it doesnt take much to throw him off his game...i just dont get why he would say that publically four seconds after the first time vick has ever been in the lineup...then again hes never been very smart in the PR department

I mean you heard the standing ovation for this guy...let Mcnabb pull a Cincinnati again this year and see where this qb controversy thing goes

I still think its going to get ugly from a media standpoint...and it will only take 2 bad games from mcnabb (which we usually always see) and one good 1/2 game from vick.

ice grillin you

and thats the irony of it all...that he was the one who pushed for all this

I'm a little disappointed that Vick's one real pass didn't spark up the controversy yet.

The thing is with the whole Vick situation is that during real games he may only get in there 6 plays the whole game.  Last night it was all in one quarter, I understand what McNabb was saying.  But it definitely looks bad/weird.   I am kind of surprised that ESPN wasn't making more of a big deal about it.

It was stupid all around. McNabb takes forever and a half to stop throwing bad passes even when he's throwing 12 out of the first 15 plays. Now you're going to bring out Vick and the Mad Dog offense just for the sake of having him out there? I mean, if Vick actually threw more than one real pass I could understand it a little. Maybe next week they'll let him (meaning Vick) play a quarter or two without the constant substituting.

His point was it was tough to get the offense clicking with all the switching going on. The way the offense was playing, they needed less trickery and more regular shtein.

I doubt he was ripping Vick. But they did show a clip on ESPN where he did the whole "cut it out" gesture when he came to the sidelines.

But he's right...screw the trickery. Get the damn offense right before you mess with all that shtein. If Reid wants to get Vick acclimated then he should do it later in the game.

Drunkmasterflex

This is the "dress rehearsal" game, so using him that much didn't make sense.  It was nice to see Reid so committed to the run last night. :-X

I'm not getting too involved in all this crap.  We are talking about an exhibition afterall.  We'll see what happens.

I think it's safe to say that McNabb is an odd one though.

also:  this was the last post I could see without hitting "quote" to find the rest.

i have no problem with andy doing it...he wanted to get vick some run with the ones and he wanted the rest of the league to see that it could happen even if it never does

if he does the yo yo thing in the regular season then we might have a valid concern....and of all people donovan should know this...which is what makes his comments so puzzling

and lol @ donovan or anyone talking about his rhythm being thrown off in a preseason game...who the farg cares...theres many more important big picture items to worry about than his rhythm last night....as if the first two games when vick wasnt there he was in a zone or something

if donovan didnt play a down this whole preseason it wouldnt matter

if donovan didnt dress like tim the toolman taylor in his post game presser id feel a lot better
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Am I the only one who thinks Vick would be more of a threat at WR than McNabb? Not that either is really a threat, but come on...
Three things can happen when you throw the ball, and two of them are bad.

Mcnabb looked as fast as I've ever seen him last night...probably rookie-year-esque.
