Right, just like those Canadians who are dropping like flies up there with their rationed care.

And you're not going to lose your health insurance. Have you even read the proposed plans?

The survival rate for cancer treatment is better in the US than anywhere else in the world, FYI.

And people WILL lose their current insurance under the current plan being trumpeted in Congress.  Any government plan will eventually kill off the insurance industry, but page 16 of the current plan (which may or may not be the one that goes to the Senate) clearly states that insurance companies cannot sign on new people.  So if you change jobs, you will not be able to get your new employers plan, you get to go to the government plan.

If people wanted true competition to lower prices, how about starting by giving the insurance companies the same luxury the proposed government plan will have?  Being able to offer the same plan across state borders instead of having to OK everything with each State insurance agency.  That would be a start, then you have massive tort reform which no one should be against since you won't be able to sue the government docs anyway.

Even the Dems now are saying there won't be anything until at least the Fall.  I never did understand Obama's rush to get this done...it's too important to rush through this.

A sad statement on our society.  Not quite as sad as Senator Al Franken, but sad nonetheless.

The poll is a reflection of the sad state of journalism while Al Franken is a positive reflection of the people of Minnesota.

Come on ATV, Franken is a total joke and you know it.  If the people of Minnesota wanted to vote in a Liberal Senator fine, I have no problem with that, but at least vote someone in that has a little bit of experience.  Although, these are the same people that voted for Jesse Ventura...   :-\

Someone with experience? You mean like the used car salesman (and official douche) they used to have? Yea, great idea.

Franken is one of the smartest persons in the Senate. Just because he pwns right wingers in his spare time, and thereby is an insult to your predjudices, doesn't make him incapable. We're talking about someone who graduated cum laude in politcal science at Harvard and has been immersed in politics for the last ten years or more.

Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.
