I couldn't agree more. What really gets me is the journalist risking thier lives to report on whats going on. One on CNN this morning was too close to soldiers with his camera. He was arrested and beaten. Yet, he's still there. Ya' can't help but think one of them is going to end up dead.

Obama was on CBS saying he doesnt want to even give them the ammo to say America is behind it all, thats why he's been behind the lines pretty much.  That said, its apparent that the speech in Cairo might have had a bit more of an impact than anyone was giving it credit for.

Well the Right Wingers in Iran are going to say the US is behind the movement no matter what Obama says or doesn't say. The only thing speaking up or condeming things would buy for Obama is a little political breathing room. I don't think he could have handled it any better. This is their business and there's no much that could be done even if something should be done.

heres the problem with the article and and the reason I think Obama is going to be in for a rude awakening very soon..if not already. People are so enamored with Obama's ability to use a psychoanalytical approach to every situation and turn it into a positive with all of his speeches and face-to-faces (and its very comforting to the american public), but I dont think its the right course of action at this stage in the game

i think whats being misjudged here is the nature of these dictators. these are not people that can be dealt with without pre-conditions set. he can use all the jedi mind tricks he wants, and take the courteous approach.....but you are not dealing with rational human beings that have the ability to give in under any circumstance.
