Reads like a progressive manifesto/wet-dream... despite my professed love of taxes some of this is a little much even for me, but the basic message is right on. Taxes accomplish good things and progressive politicians need to start making the argument that taxes are not bad in and of themselves or they're never going to get ahead,

Taxes aren't bad, it's a lot of the bullcrap that the money gained from them is spent on that pisses me off. 40% is enough. Vote for people who will spend the money wisely and we will get ahead. It won't happen by taxing people more if the money isn't put in the right places. On Delmarva a few years ago, there was a study done by DNR on the Delmarva Fox Squirrel. 65 grand to try and amass it's numbers, see if it had proper habitat and all that stuff. I find it hard to believer that could cost so much. You have to believe money was going under the table to someone somewere. Tax money gets spent like that all the time and most of the time the public doesn't even know anything about it. It's bullshtein.
