Taken- perfect movie to just sit back and watch without analyzing or thinking about.  it doesn't try to be smart or funny...it's just exactly what the previews make you think it will be and it does it well.

just saw it this morning.  Predictable ending, and for being retired, he wiped through the enemy with no problem...

don't ask questions...and of course it was predictable.  although i'd bet you didn't see the wife shot coming
I'm the Anti-Christ. You got me in a vendetta kind of mood.

true

I was also thinking during that scene that French families don't eat a dinner like the US does (lunch is their big meal of the day), but yeah, shouldn't think during it....

Exactly what I thought about it.  Doesn't try to be anything other than an entertaining action movie.

what the farg that was just on the other day and its still funny. about the only sports movie besides slapshot thats legit funny.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

SD_Eagle5

I remember seeing it at the Eric Feasterville theater...which is now a Genaurdi's

"stay away from her"
"suck my meatcicle"

Sgt PSN

it wasn't intended to be funny at the time of production, but i laugh every time i watch it now when tom berenger takes the bullpen cart.

what year did they actually stop using those things?

ive never seen major league but i can say with the greatest of confidence that caddyshack absolutely destroys it...much less not being legit funny

in general your post is pretty much off as there are several other sports comedies that are funny...and im not even a comedy movie fan

i can take a phrase thats rarely heard...flip it....now its a daily word

igy gettin it done like warrick

im the board pharmacist....always one step above yous

MDS

yes for some reason i forgot to mention caddyshack. though i think of that more as a comedy movie and than a sports movie.

and im not sure you can even begin to talk about sports movies without seeing major league

Caddyshack was about as much about sports as happy Gilmore was.

That's because golf isn't a sport and as a pastime it isn't nearly interesting enough on its own to justify an entire movie.
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?
