I anyone here really married to Hank Baskett, or Jason Avant for that matter? I mean, who cares about those guys? If this dude can come in and be an improvement would anyone shed a tear?

I like both players but no, I'm not "married" to either one. If they happen to be the best players in camp, fine. If not, then keep whoever beats them out. I don't think anyone is really that attached to the 4th or 5th receivers on this team.

Avant's a great 3rd down receiver. I doubt he'll ever escape that role but he's found his niche.

Avant isn't a great anything. He had like 30 catches last year and about a quarter of his yards in a single game. He's fine for what he is but they could upgrade that spot REALLY easily.

i agree with rjs....i dont think there really is such a thing as a great 3rd down wr...theres a name for that its called a #1 or 2 wr

that said avant catches the ball when its thrown his way and you cant say that about everyone...he absolutely can be ugraded and i believe gibson is a candidate to do that
