here's what i don't get.  if al gore is investing in going green and the results of his efforts helps provide, cleaner, cheaper, more effient energy, then who the hell cares if he gets caked off in the end?  if he does, good for him.  i find it beyond hysterical that the repubs would have a problem with financially motivated political decisions.  cause, ya know, the repubs can't be bought.  they're country first, party second and individual 3rd.  well, unless you're talking about small things like iraq, oil, tobacco, stem cell research and baby jesus.

I agree about it being fine if he is going to make money investing in it, the only issue i see, is if he is trying to influence policies pushing his agenda to make the caking he and his partners get thicker.  I know most everyone does it in DC, I'm not blind to the point you make about both sides and their financially motivated political decisions and i think overall its a bad thing.
