There are no good conservative beliefs nowadays. This is because the Repubelicans have moved this country so far rightward by their policies that the only thing left for the Right Wing to champion is some really far out there facist stuff. They stand for nothing because they got their way -  This country has had its head up their ass for so long that a 3 percent increase to 38% in the marginal tax is portrayed as being socialist. Consider that during the Republican Eisenhower's administration this rate was 91%?

not wanting garbage on tv is not a conservative belief...you think conservatives care more about their kids than liberals?...tipper gore who many call a flaming liberal did the music label stuff

in fact wanting more govt control of what we watch would be frowned upon by many on the right who are against govt intervention when comes to personal choice (ie what you watch watch/listen to )

Exactly. Government control over every little thing isn't traditionally a quality of the Right. But since the Right fancies themselves the guardians of morality, they find themselves in the contradictory position of wanting less government in business, but more government in our personal lives.

In other words, TV sucks, but as soon as the government tells it that it has to stop sucking it will suck even worse.

i think it's something that conservatives bring up more than libs.   tends to fall under the "family values" platform which repubs have used as a rallying cry in the past. 

like i said i'm not really yearning for gov't intervention with it.  but i think that my beliefs fall more on the conservative side of that issue than the liberal.
