nothing to be embarrassed about because it wasnt actually ever told in the show but yes he is his son per david simon lectures since the show ended

I'd have to watch season 4 over but I don't think they ever said 100% Randy was Cheese's son. I think they share the same last name (wagstaff or some shtein) so viewers put the connection together.
