i thought the guy in the FBI helping The Greek was a leak, but he was a real agent and The Greek was a terrorist informant?  is that right?  that part happened quick.

The FBI guy helping the Greek would get alerts when a name of interest related to the Greek would pop up. McNulty's FBI buddy figured it out but not until it was too late, that's why he called San Diego to find the guy but they said he had been transferred to DC as part of Homeland Security. The Greek gave him that huge crack shipment which was the Columbians because he was pissed at them for not living up to their end of the bargin regarding the chemicals. "Columbians, they have no honor". He also did it as a favor for alerting him to the raid.

Season 2 is really underrated.

Yeah, I got all that.  But, I thought it was an infiltration of the FBI by The Greek, not a working relationship between the two.

the greek is not an on the books official fbi informant...he has a quid pro quo relationship with koutrios...its not entirely told how their relationship began but i suspect it was from when glekas got bagged by the feds in san diego...perhaps because koutris is greek he was approached by the "greeks" and made an offer he couldnt refuse...theres no way to know for sure

finished season 2 over the weekend...farging great shtein.  the end of episode 11, the long shot of Frank walking down to meet with The Greek and you know he's farged, what a great moment.

i think the part i loved most is that they got away, it wasn't a nicely tied up storyline like the first season.

No doubt...he took that walk knowing he was doomed. Unless he was dumb enough to think that he could talk his way out of that mess.

It always trips me out to see guys from other shows take on these roles you're not accustom to seeing them in. Frank played on Third Watch as the chick cops husband and was a Hoyda. Koutrios was an old ass thrown off inmate in Oz.

It took me a minute to catch what was goin down at the end too...at first I thought that Koutrios was not even a FBI guy, that he had some hook up and was fronting as an FBI guy out of the SD office.

yeah you should because youre going to need to rewatch each season at least 3-4 times to get everything...in fact i would saying the third rewatching is better than the first...im constantly watching them and i still see new stuff

i didn't spit on it, i actually borrowed it, just never watched it.  now, i've seen the errors of my ways.  gimmie.

I'm thinking they'll put season 3 up in the beginning of April. Lots of Omar, Hamsterdam, lots of story lines get tied up, and others spring up. It's the pay off season from 1 and 2 and the pivotal set up season for 4 and 5.
