That game is a perfect example of why college basketball is roughly 10 trillion times better than the NBA.

I was at a place in the Memorial City Mall called Becks and it was loaded with people rooting for Pitt, so it was fun. What an ending. I couldn't believe they almost blew it. As soon as dude launched that full court bomb I cringed. ANd when Fields cranked up his 3, I thought for sure it was going in. Great game to watch. Can they beat NC? I picked them to lose, but I can't root for a loss.

the best i can do in the pool is a 3 way tie for 3rd. i think i can still win my other pool but the payout is like $50 or something.

this nova love fest is going to be unbearable. go rich douches from the main line.

i mean i want nova to win and its a cool story...but this thread is a mini version of how philly is now...people who dont even know what a college basketball is slurping nova...for god sakes even dio chimed in

that might have been the worst bandwagon story in philly sports history, and im even saying that because i despise everything and anything about that shteinhole of a school. for two weeks the entire town was taken over by some gay as hawk and an awful person like phil martelli. it was beyond unbearable.

but i guess good for you for the 0 people here who watched nova on a regular basis and a big farg you to everyone who started paying attention two days ago.

st joe wagon gets a pass for two reasons....one they are a mid major so it really was a great story...secondly and most importantly it was pre phillies world series...so the city get a pass for scrapping for a title anywhere they can...this year six months away from the fightins winning the WS there is no excuse for anyone to jump on nova unless you went there

they are not really a mid major. money wise they spend about as much on bball as temple and dayton and the like in the a10, which is between being a mid major and a bcs conference. they like selling themselves as a little school and yes they play in a high school gym and have use the palestra all the time, but no, they are not on the same level as schools you might be familiar with like american and george mason.

but yes the desperation for a title thing is valid, this town was shot until the phils got it done. and yes, anyone jumping on the nova bandwagon (already several examples of this here) needs to step off. obviously fine to root for them but you can hand in your philly sports fan card if you go out and a buy a t-shirt and start gettin die-hard. did any of you know who corey fisher was before the duke game? come on.

I hate Pitt (they beat UCONN twice, the bastiches...and I live in Baltimore so Pitt is the devil...and I love the Eagles so farg Pittsburgh)
Brian Westbrook went to Villanova, and he is a football god, so I like Nova
It's a Philly school so I like them

I guess I'm a bandwagon fan, and that's fine with me.
