No one cares how you did in your pool. Seriously, it's like hearing someone tell me about their fantasy football team. Why the farg should I care? I shouldn't.

As for the Nova thing...who is exactly swingin' from their nuts? It was a great game to watch...and for me, I don't have any college ties to the city schools, so I will root for any city team. Will I go out and buy a hat/shirt? No. But I will root for them.

And the St. Joe's thing in 2004 was crazy. I rooted...and I liked watching West/Nelson...but turning on WIP/CSN got sickening. Neil Hartmann's jock-sniffing and every caller on IP signing off with "the hawk will never die" was nauseating.

I had't watched ten minutes of men's college basketball until yesterday.  Much like the NBA, I don't bother until the tournament/playoffs.

If you like basketball it is hard not to like the way Nova plays.  I would definitely like to see them win it all, juts because they are a Philly team.  That game lastnight was as good as it gets.

I don't really give a shtein who wins, but I have some friends that are Nova grads, and they aren't total iceholes.  So, go Nova.

the amount of money both those teams spent far and away exceeds actual mid majors and comes close to middle of the pack teams in major conferences. this decade the a-10 has had 1 or 2 seasons where they dont have multiple tourney bids. certainly not even close to a power conference, but above a mid major. they were in the same boat as cusa until it became memphis and crap. the mountain west is basically in the same position.

theres only so many schools who are in that field, so they all get lumped into the mid-major term. its not quite right. xavier, gonzaga, memphis, etc. have proven themselves to be above that.

Same here.  One of my co-workers is a Nova alum but otherwise I have no ties to any of the local teams.  If PSU was in the tourney I would've rooted for them too...

I have season tickets to Nova and was in Boston last night.  What an amazing game.  My dad went to Nova and I grew up rooting for them.  I wish the school that I actually ended up going to played with near the amount of energy Nova does.
