doesn't sound like he was fired for performance as much as it was because he apparantly didn't really get along with anyone.  butted heads with the ad, didn't stroke the boosters ego, etc, etc.  and kentucky is probably one of the few colleges in the country where the basketball head coach has got to be just as involved with the boosters as he is with the team.

donovan is obviously their first choice and i think he'd welcome the opportunity to leave florida.  dude won them 2 championships in the last few years and they still can't fill the gym with fans.  not to mention that they aren't even making the tourney now. 

also heard rumors about them going after tom to the izzo but i really dont see that dude leaving mich st.  ever.

izzo would be stupid to go. hes got just a good a chance of making the final 4 in lansing as he does at kentucky. hed just be going because its kentucky. and money, i suppose.

if im an established coach there is a 0% chance i go there. their boosters think its their god given right to be in the final four and any season short of that and any coach who doesnt kiss their ring is done. farging lunatics.
