Plans have changed - gotta go to Australia with the girlfriend instead.

Hopefully I'll be able to go to Machu Picchu next year or the year after that, but I will not let you know how the adventure option is. Asshat

Buddy of mine went to Machu Picchu several years ago.  Said it was amazing.  It sounds like a very cool place.

The Gold Coast. I'll get to find out how bad I am at surfing. Hopefully not so bad to piss off Keanue Reeves and Patrick Swayze

Just checked on Expedia a couple of days ago....end of august, 6 nights, 7 days, direct flight to cancun, round trip right in the middle of the hotel strip....$570+ taxes and fees.

Granted, May-Nov is hurricane season...but hot damn!

That is what I just paid for Acapulco for 5 nights and 6 days and we had a connection in Mexico City.

My Puerto Rico Trip in January was $390 for round trip fare from L.A. to San Juan. (connected in ATL on the way there, and Dallas on the way back).

Traveling is getting a little cheap if you keep it in the Americas. Seems like the deals are out there.

Thanks for the info, Chuggie. I've been looking at going to Cancun or Cozumel and was looking at a site called funjet.com

My boy booked on on there about a year ago for Cancun and he spent about 1200 for him and his wife for airfare and an all inclusive joint.

Have you never been to Manayunk? All you see is idiots riding in full gear; spandex shirts, shorts, shoes, etc...and they ride in the middle of the street. I almost ran one over this morning.

whenever i'm back that way for a visit i try and hit up the grape st pub in manayunk on fri nights.  they usually have some good live music going on in there.  or at least they did....it's probably been 2 or 3 years since i've been up there.

I need to think of another places to go.

you couldn't pay me to go to mexico right now.  yeah, the resorts are still safe but if i go to mexico.....or any other country for that matter, then the last thing i want to do is hang out with a bunch of stupid americans.  i'd much rather be experiencing the country and mingling with the locals.   unless i'm in canada.  but that's because i can't stand canadians.
