The thing is that comic book movie nerds tend to flock to these things and love them blindly (Dark Knight, 300, etc). The opposite seems to be happening with this movie. People seem to be absolutely picking it apart for the most minor things.

Whatever, the soundtrack was bad, and it does take away from the movie, but it is far from ruining it.

Maybe. shtein I don't really know, I am basing my fanboy opinions solely on The Dark Knight and 300 both of which were loved by fanboys and both of which had flaws that fanboys seem to overlook, while this same group seems to be picking Watchmen apart despite the fact that it was significantly better than 300 and only slightly behind TDK in quality.

All movies get a set of complaints exactly like every other movie no matter what the source. The closer these movie tries to stay to canon, the more nits get picked for the things they "got wrong." The farther away from canon the movie goes, the more nits get picked for changes that didn't work. Either way, every decision ends up wrong according to someone.

The man. The myth. The legend.

saw they released a motion comic for watchmen. has all 13 parts to the entire graphic novel. apparently its 500 minutes in length. so it basically takes you through the entire graphic novel. sounds pretty cool im about to head over to blockbuster online and look for it.

yeah but comic fanboys are way more fanatical about their source material than say fans of nicolas sparks novels

Embrace of the Vampire was on this morning, I don't know that I've ever watched the entire movie but I don't think any scenes ever gave me wood like the ones with Alyssa Milano arching her back with her tits in the air.

Choke - read the book had much higher expectations, but seems like a low budget film. had its moments, but just wasn't as good as I was hoping. 2.5.5

Religulous - Bill Maher's anti-religious documentary. Frightening and of course edited to make it more so. 3.5/5

diary of the dead - pretty disappointing for a romero movie.  kinda cool how it was shot, first person from a camcorder and lots of different angles like security cameras, etc.  but overall there were not enough zombies and all of the characters were shteinheads.

Its usually cause studios tend to rape the source material of comic book movies much more so. Take a look at the first 4 Batman films to see how overly campy they made them and changed everything around.

As for Watchmen I have pretty much the same thoughts.

****SPOILERS****
I thought they nailed it up till the end. I liked the change of the threat to Jon going nuts, but since they spent the least time on Adrian, it really was not that shocking to see him as the bad guy. In fact Adrian comes across like a shady character the whole time so its no surprise when he turns out to be the one behind it all. They should have spent a bit more time explaining him. Maybe cut down on the sex scene and some of the action sequences to show some more of Adrian and his origins.

I loved how they added a lil bit more to the end of Rorshack. Overall I think they the best job on him and Jon. Al though they did not really work up the mystery as to Ror's identity. They show his unmasked self but not enough for those who have not read the comic to figure it out.

Spectre did not have much to work with anyway from the book and she was mostly eye candy. Spectacular eye candy.

****SPOILERS*****

Marge: I have someone who can help you!
Homer: Is it BATMAN!!??
Marge: No hes a scientist
Homer: Batman is a scientist.
Marge: Its not BATMAN!

hunt

unless you want to watch a 10 hour movie, don't they have to cut out parts of the book?  christ, wasn't watchmen 2 hours & 45 minutes long.
lemonade was a popular drink and it still is
