I can't wait for this guy to sign with the Lions tomorrow.
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

Let them eat bootstraps.

I'm slightly aroused by this being a possibility

I've been wondering if The Plan is to bring in a SS and move Mikell to FS

Seriously?  Again with the making a big deal between a SS and a FS?

Yes, seriously. JJ imo is fairly good with adjusting scheme to personnel if need be, and says (ideally) the safeties should be interchangeable, but he plays mostly man/free pass coverages unless it's zone for long passing downs or something like they can't stop Fitz. If they bring in a 220 - 225 lb SS, he's not going to be interchangeable with Mikell and won't be able to play centerfield like Dawk did.

You forgot they're down a safety now.

This guy has 14 INT's the first 3 years he's started and last year he only played 12 games. I think the guys might have some ball hawking skills even at that size. Mikell has 5 career INT's. Bring this guy in!

The guy can lay the wood. He's been one of the brighter spots are a very poor squad. He gone left on an island a lot of the time in Clevland, and held his own. With better CBs, I like the idea of just letting this guy fly around. I had hoped the Eagles would have pursued him at some point in the FA period.

Jones had his best statistical season in 2006. He started all 16 regular season games and had a breakout season recording 111 tackles and led all strong safeties with 5 interceptions. He made a career high 13 tackles at the Cincinnati Bengals on September 17. He was named the AFC Defensive Player of the week with three tackles and two interceptions versus the New York Jets on October 29. Just as he did in the previous season, he started in all 16 regular season games of the 2007 season. He had 96 tackles and five interceptions, which again led all players at his position.

Yes he was.  He was a monster in an otherwise suspect secondary his senior year.
