Why am I listening to this slop....anyway:

With regards to Dawk:

Feels that they made a very fair offer.
Agent informed the team they would go out and look around, take a trip to Denver.
They never talked again, agent or Dawk never called with what the Broncos offered.
Offered more money than Dawks last contract - "he would have made more money than he did last year" lol
Denver will pay much more the first year compared to the Eagles, but if Dawk plays two more years, not a big difference in the money he'll make.

Basically slammed Buck, says that when he got the ball he did a good job, but there was a reason he didn't get a lot of touches.
Returning a lot of the players from last year and that's the most important thing.
Ward - weren't really interested, injury history.
Houshmanzadeh - Same range in terms of quality to what they already have. "Not a meaningful upgrade". If a true number one is available they will be in the hunt.

McNabb meeting: Conversations are confidential. Insinuated the "someone" leaked portions of the conversations.....
McNabbs definition of "weapons" is more broad than people think, not just WRs, RBs, and TEs, but Donovan "thinks Stacey Andrews is a big weapon".
Brought up the Patriots and how they turned no-name free-agent acquisitions into major contributors during their super bowl runs...

Callers get to chime in now....should be interesting. Hope IGY calls.

Keeps making the point that the Birds never had a chance to match or beat the Broncos offer.

Teams that make it to the last four in the playoffs are very close to each other. Basically came to down to chance why they didn't win it all this year.

Never questioned fatty as coach this past season.

Need to create "competition" at FB. You'll see something happen there.

Supposedly told Dawk's agent was told the offer was final, but that only the entire dollar amount. They were open to talk about bonuses, guaranteed money, etc.

Banner seems to be insinuating the Dawk's agent led him to believe that the Eagles didn't want him.

Sheldon Brown is upset with his contract. Never disputed it. "New market always surpasses the old market" = Sheldon can suck it.

Houzmanzadeh is better than any WR the Eagles have. So how would it not be a improvement over what they have?

Jackson>Housh.

I'm pretty sure you'll counter by bringing up the numbers, but I think going forward Jackson will overtake him as the better WR. He's going to have better numbers in 2009 than Housh will in Seattle IMO.
Calling it right on the $ since day one.
Just pointing laughing, and living it up while watching the Miami Heat stink it up.

Magical_Retard

Of course has better potential and I am not dissing him. But this is not about who Jackson might be in a year or two but more about who TJ is right now.

On a team that passes as much as the Eagles do WHAT HARM would it do to add TJ even if he is not a Boldin esque #1? He is definetly better than Curtis, Avant, Baskett, G. Lewis. He has shown he plays well in a system opposite another good WR. We know the Eagles are not trading for a Chad Johnson or Boldin. They have tons of money.

I just don't get it anymore.

We were one of the last four teams, but we were 9-6-1.. .Banner needs to stop acting like we were 13-3.

Magical_Retard

The Eagles viewed the 8-8 team of two yrs ago as a Superbowl roster so surely they believe a 9-6-1 roster is a Pro Bowl roster.

Look at it this way...they are bound to improve by one game next season.

I missed the interview but heard Eskin spinning the cap situation and how the Eagles spend so much money every year. Eskin's as bad as Banner is and I'm glad he's losing so many listeners to Mike Miss.

As for Banner what a conniving little smug spin artist.

The only thing they get a pass on from me is WR. Housh isn't all that great and I do think they'll either trade for a WR or draft one early. If not, then I'll agree with you, but I think Jackson right now is better than Housh.

I listened to the whole thing, and as much as Eskin gets on my last nerve, he asked every and any question that you and i would ask--and went as far as you could go without belaboring the point

He asked why Dawkins was let go and that point was driven home 29 times (false or not), why the eagles havent won a superbowl, what the convo was between McNabb and him, will he get an extension, convo with Tre Thomas, potential coaching changes mid-season last year, cap money (which was explained by cap dollars vs cash dollars and the number is not 40+ million)..etc etc. It just sucks that we as fans cant get the answer we want because shtein stays in-house or its a flat out lie..who knows
