It's easy to laugh at the Skins for signings like these. And it's even easier to laugh at their fans for stroking their collective rubbery woodrows every time they sign anyone. But aggressively locking down two talented players like this within hours of free agency starting is something that I wish the Eagles did more of. If they want someone, do what it takes to get them and get them quickly. Even if it isn't the top name on the free agency list, if they have a target go get them and don't play chicken with the rest of the teams in the league.

Basically. Everyone laughs at them but its more of a guy who does not know how to judge talent rather than a cheap owner who does not want to spend money.

Id rather have a ownder like Snyder but minus the power he has and a competent GM.

The taterskins make a lot of money. What they haven't done under Snyder (unlike most other NFC teams during that period) is go deep into the playoffs.

Im not saying I wouldnt want Haynesworth, but how many times have you seen this guy "out" or questionable with an injury on the game day injury report ? There couldnt be anything more frustrating...and when he didnt play the defense shtein the bed because so much is predicated on him being on the field

Yes he is a difference maker that can free up other guys, but Im going to almost guarantee that this one will hurt the skins in a big way-- as age will creep very fast on this guy because of what is thrown at him on the opposite side of the ball.

If he came to the Eagles--I would be thinking the same thing but worse

I agree completely. I'm not suggesting that the Eagles should have broken the bank for the guy necessarily, I'm just saying that I wish they approached FA with the same kind of aggressive nature that the taterskins do. We laugh at the taterskins because their talent evaluation is atrocious, but they get their targeted players roughly 100% of the time. Add some decent player eval and they would certainly not be the laughing stock that they are.

thats the funny thing about the skins--they make breaking news headlines in free agency every year, create pre-season analyst boners, but cant do squat because of poor coaching and below mediocre qb play

The fact that Snyder cant see that will continue to attribute to the Eagles success so more power to him
