QuoteHi there.
Some of you know me.

Some of you have known me for quite some time.

For those of you that don't know me, I'm TK.

And I just dusted off my Ban Button.

It's true. Over the last two years, I've been able to step back from ES for a bit as I was no longer the only constant active mod here. By having a few others on Staff such as Jumbo, zoony, & PCS actually be active when needed, it's allowed me to step back a bit from ES & let these guys do some of the grunt work. And honestly, I've enjoyed it. It's made things quite a bit less stressful for me.And those of you that do know me, know that a stressless TK is a good TK.

However, as I said, I just dusted off my Ban Button. Seems like there has been a constant rise in the level stupidity here lately. So, I'm just going to start reading for the next week. Maybe two. And if you're in the Stadium & you're being stupid, or starting what I judge to be an attention whoring/gotta see your name up in lights/or just plain stoopid thread to show how dense you really are, then I'm just going to ban you.

The level of stupid here is coming to an end. Consider this your only warning.

MDS

Why did you have to remind me that he's alive?
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

QuoteTITANS MOVING FORWARD WITH TAMPERING CASE AGAINST taterskinS?
Posted by Mike Florio on March 7, 2009, 11:19 a.m. EST

G.M. Mike Reinfeldt hinted at the possibility earlier this week, and Jim Wyatt of the Tennessean reports that it isn't going away.

The Titans remain interested in pursuing the possibility of charging the taterskins with tampering.

The preliminary evidence that the taterskins encroached on Tennessee's exclusive negotiation territory before the free-agency period opened?  Agent Chad Speck reportedly had dinner with taterskins owner Daniel Snyder at the Scouting Combine.

Haynesworth shrugs the possibility that Speck and Snyder talked about the team's interest in Albert:  "I don't think so," Haynesworth said.  "Yeah, Chad told me he met with the taterskins at the Combine, but they were talking about Malcolm [Kelly] and how he could become the next Andre Johnson and stuff like that."

Malcolm Kelly?  The next Andre Johnson?

(OK, I laughed so hard I think I need to go change my pants.  Be right back.)

So, if we are to believe Haynesworth, his $100 million deal (actually, $48 million over four with $41 million guaranteed) was negotiated from scratch in roughly the time it takes to bake a turkey, at a time when the agent's phone was reportedly "exploding" with calls from other teams.

Though Wyatt's article suggests that the Titans are in the process of compiling evidence to support their claim, the reality is that they've already got enough to proceed.  Apart from the admission from Haynesworth that Speck had communications with the taterskins at the Combine, Peter King of SI.com strongly implied (if not flat-out stated) that the taterskins tampered with Cowboys defensive end Chris Canty, who apparently was the leverage the taterskins used to avoid paying Haynesworth $60 million guaranteed.

The real question is whether Titans owner Bud Adams has the stomach to poke a finger in the eye of a business partner.  The fact that the NFL will do nothing about tampering unless and until the aggrieved team objects means that, in many cases, the transgression is overlooked because these teams ultimately prefer to get along — especially at a time when great pains are being taken to demonstrate a united front against the NFLPA.

If/when the Titans file tampering charges, then the league office will track down phone records and e-mails and other evidence aimed at proving — just as the league ultimately did a year or so ago when the Niners were busted for tampering with Bears linebacker Lance Briggs — that the effort to recruit Haynesworth began at some point before 12:01 a.m. EST on February 27.

In our view, there's plenty of smoke.  The Titans simply need to ask themselves whether they're prepared to ask the league office to go looking for the fire

Even though all teams do it, and the Titans are likely being hypocrites, I'd like to see the taterskins get slammed and lose one of their small amount of draft picks.

Kind of a reach, this happened before he signed with them. That being said, I hope it comes out that he was drunk and had a trunk full of automatic weapons, and he gets suspended for the year.

Source says Washington has serious interest in QB
The taterskins have serious interest in Denver quarterback Jay Cutler, an NFL source said Tuesday, and have entered talks about a possible three-way deal to acquire him.

Two NFL sources confirmed the possibility of a three-way trade, with Kansas City being mentioned by one source as a possibility.

The taterskins, through a team spokesman, denied interest in Cutler. However, a league source was adamant that Washington has shown interest.

"They're trying to do something," one NFL source said of the taterskins.

"Whether or not it materializes is another matter, but [taterskins owner Dan Snyder] is on this hard. They don't trust Jason Campbell."

Cutler is involved in a dispute with Denver after the Broncos had discussions about trading him to New England for quarterback Matt Cassel.

First-year Broncos coach Josh McDaniels met with Culter this past weekend. Afterward, Cutler said he could not trust McDaniels and wanted to be traded.

Denver has said they don't want to trade Cutler for draft picks, meaning the taterskins or the third team would have to surrender at least one top player. The taterskins could also end up with Denver tight end Tony Scheffler, who is represented by the same agent as Culter — Bus Cook.

Fueling the speculation is the close relationship between former Denver coach Mike Shanahan and taterskins executive vice president Vinny Cerrato. Shanahan, who traded several times with Cerrato while with Denver, could provide the endorsement needed for Cutler.

Also, after the season Cerrato gave Campbell a tepid endorsement as Washington's quarterback of the future. Campbell is entering the last year of his contract and the taterskins have not had discussions about extending his deal.

taterskins coach Jim Zorn has praised Campbell publicly this offseason.
The strong-armed Cutler, 25, made the Pro Bowl this past season after throwing 25 touchdowns and 18 interceptions. In three seasons he's tossed 54 touchdowns and 37 interceptions. In 16 games this past season, Campbell threw 13 touchdowns and six interceptions.

Cutler signed a six-year, $48-million contract in 2006. Campbell has a base salary of $2.5 million this season with a cap number of $7.5 million.

Cutler is an upgrade over Campbell but not a huge one, especially against the Eagles.  Campbell's been pretty good against the Birds.

Good.  Whatever keeps future HOF'er Colt Brennan off the field longer.
