What's more, she was once married to none other than Mike Tyson.

Just for the record...Sarah Palin was never wedded to Mike Tyson.

Some of you aren't aware how fortunate all of us are to have Obama as President.

I think it is fair to reserve judgment on that for a little while.

House Dems are putting forward a bill to stop their automatic pay raise from occuring in '10.

That's a completely symbolic measure, but should be extremely popular.
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

Let them eat bootstraps.

Diomedes

Well yes, it's a political move first and foremost.  But it's not purely symbolic; they are actually voting to not pay themselves four grand or so extra in real money.  It's a much bigger sacrifice for some of them than the wall street or executive shteinbags have considered.

For example, Circuit City is trying to get the bankruptcy court to let it pay 154 execs about four million in bonuses, 2.3 of that to be split amongst the top 15 or so.  The 34,000 employees, they get nothing.  The argument is that these bonuses are required in order to keep the management intact for them to close the business up, and that--pulling numbers out of their asses--by retaining these suits they'll recover an extra 250 million in value.

What a racket.  Run a company into the ground collecting massive salaries and bonuses, then once you've gone too far, steal even more by holding the failing company hostage with threats of failing at failing.  Dickbags.

That is just ridiculous.

Rush may have cheered the news when this story broke, but he didn't kill anyone.

My kid is learning about government. Funny but folks don't reduce the roles of government to their basic levels.

Executive Branch carries out the laws and voted yes or no. Does not write or make laws.
-Lot of pressure on someone who isn't even supposed to write or make laws.
Legislative Branch writes the laws
-This is supposed to be the brain trust... scary
Judicial Branch decides if the laws are fair.
-9 mostly Old senile wind bags decide if shtein is fair from the last millennium.

It's not perfect but it's ours.

I don't think he was even there.

And I doubt he cheered the news.

I listened to him back in the 80's when he first came on. I just got tired of the same old shtein. If I didn't have satellite, I would listen to Bob Grant.
