Mussa obviously didn't see Pocahontas.

The man. The myth. The legend.

It's a date movie that won't make you puke from being trite and saccharin.  And that's about it.

Its not a Bollywood movie so its not a Bollywood musical. Its a Hollywood movie about a Indian orphan and his story as he grew up in the slums.

Marge: I have someone who can help you!
Homer: Is it BATMAN!!??

Homer: Batman is a scientist.
Marge: Its not BATMAN!

Life and Work of Dr. Hunter S. Thompson.

Thompson embodied my vision of the American dream so I'm fascinated by just about anything involving him. He was talented, intelligent, ceaselessly hard working, digusted with power hungry politics and determined to never be bored no matter what the cost. He loved guns and alcohol and drugs and sports and he hated Richard Nixon before it was fashionable to do so. He was a god.

This movie had two issues. One, farging Johnny Depp narated. farg Johnny Depp. Two, they had a few corny ass filler scenes in the beginning showing some dude who was supposed to represent Thompson riding around on a motorcycle. Amateurish nonsense. Other than that, it was fantastic.

So if you don't worship Hunter S. Thompson, it's middling?

It's interesting no matter what because he is a lunatic and a fascinating case study of someone who was able to get away with doing anything he wanted for decades on end. But it's basically just a recap of his works in the context of american culture at the time. I can't speak for someone who doesn't worship him, but I think that it would be interesting for anyone.

Frost/Nixon: 8/10

Very good acting overall. The guy who played Nixon really had his voice and mannerisms down pat. And the guy who played Frost also did a really good job.

I am not an expert in Nixon and haven't read a whole lot about the post-Watergate period of his life so I don't know how much of this was fictionalized, but I watched most of the interview clips on Youtube and they appear to be dead on.

I wish this movie had been a hair longer. Take the extra 30 minutes of Benjamin Button and put it into this flick.

Man On Wire. Really good. The farging whackjob who does the highwire act was completely engaging and his cohorts were equally interesting. The story itself is sort of amazing and of course the fact that it focuses on the twin towers adds some subtext to the movie watching experience.

WALL-E was way too profound for an animated film.  4/5

Corpse Bride. A strange and cutesy but entertaining way to waste 75 minutes.
