The BIGSTUD

Slumdog Millionaire - not as good as advertised, but still a very good movie. Not as emotionally powerful as I thought it would be, but I liked how the story unfolded with a view of how he knew each question and how it related to his life. B+/10

The Wrestler - damn good movie. Rourke was excellent and Tomei is nude quite often in the movie. Well acted, cool style, and you actually feel for Rourke and see the awful consequences of going through that profession A-/10

Taken - fast-paced, cool action flick with Neeson. Might be his most badass role. Not to be taken too seriously, but still a very fun movie. Don't expect a unique plot or great acting performances. Just fun. B/10
Calling it right on the $ since day one.
Just pointing laughing, and living it up while watching the Miami Heat stink it up.

The BIGSTUD

Rourke plays a professional wrestler who is broken down and coming to an end.

I'd give more, but it wouldn't be without giving away some key plot elements. I hate wrestling and I loved the movie. Rourke definitely wins the performance of the year IMO as lead actor. He was great and the movie was very good.

For a more informative description go to the link below, but again, it gives away key plot elements. Everyone is differently tolerant of stuff like that.

Oh, and it was shot locally by the way. Jersey and Philly.

how is everybody...feline this evening?
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Slumdog Millionaire is excellent, though hardly feelgood unless child prostitution, mutilation and poverty make you all warm and fuzzy inside.

"Burn After Reading" - 3.5/5

If you like the Coen brothers' brand of humor, see it.  If you don't, don't.
