Why Rivers deserved a couple votes:

Go back in time to summer 2008 and ask any Chargers fan, "LT's done. Do you think you're making the playoffs?"

He also threw for 4000 yards, had the highest QB rating in the NFL, and deserves some sympathy for being blatantly robbed of a Pro Bowl appearance because of the NFL's fellatio of Brett Favre.
