I picked up the Phils DVD that came out yesterday. It was pretty good, but I can't wait for the better one that comes out in december.

Some moments are just too great and never get old. They even showed some of the parade too which was cool.

which one did you get?

"Well where does Jack Lord live, or Don Ho?  That's got to be a nice neighborhood"  Jack Singer(Nicholas Cage) in Honeymoon in Vegas.

No arbitration offers to Burrell or Moyer, so the Phils get nothing when they leave

ice grillin you

cant risk having to pay burrell 15+ mil this year...it was a no brainer not offering him

moyer was a closer call but having won a world series i think you can move on from the old man and try something different as you probably have gotten the most you can get out of him
i can take a phrase thats rarely heard...flip it....now its a daily word

igy gettin it done like warrick

I agree.  I really wonder if Burrell would have accepted arbitration but probably the right move.

probably wouldnt have since he can get a multi year from an AL team but the fact that he loves philly so much you couldnt take the chance....with all the arby guys they have they couldnt risk giving that big a chunk to burrell

what's wrong with having Burrell at one year at 15?  they aren't going to find better for LF next year.
I'm the Anti-Christ. You got me in a vendetta kind of mood.

because it would stop them from signing a pitcher or two which is much more important

they cant pay burrell and howard over 30+ mil for next year with victorino king werth blanton durbin all arby eligible...they would be grossly over budget and it would essentially end their offseason

and i also disagree that they cant get an outfielder better than him next year...in fact it would be semi difficult to not get one better than burrell

no way do they put anything out there next year that puts up his offensive numbers

The pitcher is definitely needed more, especially with Moyer gone.  Bring on Adam Dunn  :paranoid

The Courier Post laid off both of their Phillies guys, Mike Radano and Kevin Roberts.  Dumb.

MDS

they arent really going to cover philly sports. just keep it to high school and college.

one of them could get picked up by csn philly's website. they picked up pannaccio after he was let go by the inqy, so it seems they are making a concerted effort to challenge philly.com for philly sports content.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

i know most people hated pannachio but i really miss him...not only was he a great writer but he was the only writer who took the flyers to task
