if the neighborhood is a year or younger, they definitely put fiber in.  If the neighborhood is still new, you might see bright Orange lines(thats teh fiberoptics) sitting out of the ground

the HD box should only be 7.95/month.

i was on a 6-month promo when i started so i was getting everything, all the digital cable channels, all the HD channels, the sports package, and cable internet for less than $75.

they forgot about it forever, but they finally upped it last month to what it should be, and it went to like $150.  i called and basically said, i'd like to cancel because i can get fios now, and they magically found another plan that was $70 cheaper which had all of the channels I had before.  so i still only pay a little over $80 for everything, which is pretty good compared to what i see most people paying.  the more you call comcast, the better their deals become.

Why would you have them come out it literally takes 10 minutes to hook up

because why would i do something when i could get it for free....obviously once i found out it cost money i told them to go to hell

I'm in need of new cable. Or at least some way to force Comcast to hook me up. I have the Digital Preferred with the Starz, sports package, HD/DVR and internet. All in all they're raping for for 160ish a month.

My problem is I cannot have DirecTV because my apt faces due north (need a south or southwest sky view for the dish), AT&T's u-verse is not available in my area yet nor is Verizon.

I called Comcast yesterday while setting up my HD and they said they have no promotions going on right now.

My friend has the AT&T and pays like 90 a month for everything I have.

farging Comcast.

My mom lives in south Jersey and she switched from Comcast to Verizon somehow. TV, Internet phone, the whole thing with HD all through Verizon. She seems to be really happy with it but I don't know anything about it myself.

Cell phone plans.... Man they get you on the per month shtein. Do I really need to pay $60 a month for voice and data? fargers...

No you don't, but that's what it costs.

Yeah so I called DirecTV out of desperation today. I had them back in PA and loved them, but when I moved here they told me I could not have it because my apartment faces due north and the dish needed a south or southwest sky. Today I called and asked them if I can have it yet and they said yes. I am skeptical and will be until the dude gets out here and hooks it up and I get a signal.

Anyways, I got a pretty good deal on their HD/DVR plus package thats 49.99/mo. It includes HBO/Starz/Showtime for three months and then the free Showtime continues for the rest of the year. After all the charges and taxes it comes out to about 71 a month. Compared to about 120 for the Comcast.

I hope it works.

I cannot imagine paying $70 per month for teevee.

I dont want to pay over a hundred.

But it looks like the farger lied to me. Sonofabitch.

I looked on dishpointer.com and put in my address and all require a south-southwest view.

Goddamn.

Just got the new Samsung Omnia. Was free for me, which I found amazing. Phone does friggin' everything. It's my first smartphone, but, wow....the mind reels with the ways in which I can now waste time.  I also picked up a Hava on the cheap that same week-- and now I have it linked with my Omnia...so I can watch TV and control my DVR on my phone anytime. Sweet.
