its annoying because i buy reliable products. meanwhile you buy pc and are always worrying about spyware, adware and viruses...oh and that wonderful microsoft operating system that works so well. have fun with that!

You must be confusing me with someone else.  It only takes a basic knowledge of computers to avoid issues like that.

Anyway, nice defense, but you're still the exact epitome of the annoying Apple addict.  How dare anyone else compare their electronics to yours!

I use macs, home and work. I could not care less what anyone else uses.

Besides, I would rather them stay below the 10% market share line (they are well past that now), because as they get larger and have to make more machines faster, the quality weakens.

I will say this though...the cost issue is a myth(from about 10 years ago...when it was true), when you factor in the cost of the computer and the cost of ownership...macs and pcs are pretty equal. (at least until the quality falls apart)

well from personal experience the majority of people with pc's have "issues" these being mainly the fact that you have to protect your computer period. I don't. Its all ready secure out of the box. I'm not bragging, I use macs because in my job field it is pretty standard and they perform well...no freezing, crashes, etc...

I run Windows XP on my Mac as well for one specific part of my job. This being another advantage to Mac...the ability to run both and read and write onto PC files.

To each his own, if you just need a computer to run microsoft office and browse the internet etc...then yea why pay more for a Mac, I agree, but if you want a hassle free computer that will last you a long time, I suggest Mac.

Paying more just doesn't make that much sense to me since computers are essentailly disposible these days.  They have a shelf life of about five years before they most likely 1) break down, 2) start to become obsolete.

More probable is the fact that I'll want the newer, cooler bells and whistles. I haven't had any major problems with my PCs, and I still have a ten year old tower running windows 98 in my basement that I haven't turned off in probably five years.  As far as protecting the computer, is that really such a hassle?  If you're not semi-retarded, you can even get by with some free solutions. And Macs aren't inherently safer than PCs...it's just that fewer people have intent on screwing them up to this point.  Have to protect both, really.  Besides I use mine for the web 90% of the time, and do some light word processing, video/photo editing other than that.  I'm not crushing it on a regular basis.

Yeah, I tend to buy a new computer every 3-4 years.  More power, more storage, run the newer programs, etc.

Oh how I hate Comcast...

Not only is their digital cable garbage (always choppy), and their OnDemand selections terrible...but I go to sign on to my Comcast.com account to view/pay my new bill today and it tells me that I do not have access in my area. Which is weird because I just used it two days ago.

So I go on-line to use the on-line chat to talk to Comcast and ask whats up. They tell me all accounts were given new numbers and I have to re-create my on-line account. So I go to re-register and again I am told that this feature is not enabled in my area.

So now I'm chatting with another Comcast douchebag and have been on here like 15 minutes....

And they tell me no luck, wait and see if it works tomorrow.

Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.
