giants are a sb contender....eagles are not so he certainly would look better in ny for a high pick...the eagles with gonzalez most likely dont even make the playoffs and thus they have no reason to give a 2nd round pick for a 33 year old te for next season

The reported asking price is a 3rd round pick.

Not to mention, even if it was a second....what exactly are the Eagles losing in giving up their second round pick?

Who cares? Trading anything of value for an ancient TE is stupid, but Andy Reid will almost certainly farg up whatever pick he would have had to give up for Gonzo anyway, so it's a lose lose proposition.

hed be an upgrade but wouldnt win them a sb like he could the giants...he might get the eagles in the playoffs if a lot else went right...like the eagles getting a new linebacker corps for thanksgiving...but since thats unlikely to happen ill keep the draft pick thanks

Yes he would. He'd be the difference between the Eagles going 9-7 and them going 13-3.

who is reid going to draft anyway in the third round? some project player who he will play out of position? while passing up much better talents who will end up in the NFC east?

There's a really good, quick, smallish DE that's just begging to be drafted and moved to SS, and Reid's going to find him.
