Oh, I forgot one of the other better quotes:

On the injuries: Andrews with the back....blah blah...*ahem* Westbrook has two busted ribs, we'll take it day to day there*clears throat*....blah blah......
"The very existence of flamethrowers proves that some time, somewhere, someone said to themselves, "You know, I want to set those people over there on fire, but I'm just not close enough to get the job done.""  R.I.P George.

Wingspan

You might as well have cracked his ribs with the pen he signed his contract with, there was no chance of that not happening.

Aikman was questioning the Eagles giving him the money on the telecast.  That was fun.

He doesn't think any running back can be a franchise player, or some nonsense.

Reid: We have the leadership to avoid that.

People have been executed for smaller lies than that. There is no leadership on this farging team. You've got a couple of lead by example guys, and the example they're setting is awful.

The man. The myth. The legend.

Does Pol Pot still run that "re-education" camp in Cambodia?

Reid PR gems:

Some reporter asked this, which I thought was great: "You always say you need to put the players in better positions, after ten years, why is it so hard?"

Reid: "It's a challenge every week. That's what makes it so much fun"

Reporter: "You went in with Tony Hunt as your fullback, but for short yardarge he isn't in. Klecko got blown-up on that play near the endzone. Will you maybe bring in a true blocking fullback?"

Reid: Klecko got surpirsed by that guy, wasn't the guy he was supposed to block. We'll see what happens."

Reporter: Will close loses shake the team's confidence?

Reid: We have the leadership to avoid that.

Reporter: Akers has been bad for awhile, any thoughts of changing anything?

Reid: He's in a slump. He'll pull out of it, he'll be fine.

Reuben Frank was the guy who asked about the putting guys into positions....

I'm listening to the PC now...frustrating.

time to gruden this team.  this team is 90% good enough to win it all. a little change and it's not all that bad...but reid continues to run this team in the ground.
Pass.  Pass. Pass. PUNT.  No pro bowl WR's.  Pass. Pass. Pass. PUNT.  Retarded special teams.  Pass. Pass. Pass. PUNT.  "I've got to do a better job."  Pass. Pass. Pass. PUNT.  Running game shines for 3 plays. Pass. Pass. Pass. PUNT.  No adjustments anywhere.  Pass.  Pass. Pass. PUNT.  (repeat)

he got surprised (this was on DNL today w/runyan) bc LJ farging smith lined up on the wrong side, dmac had to audible to accommodate LJ, then when the play was snapped, LJ blocked the wrong guy (he blocked in) and the guy klecko blocked was supposed to be blocked by LJ and Tra didn't really block anyone (bc LJ farged up and took his guy)

the play was supposed to attack the weak d set up on the right, but since lj was on the left 5 switched it to that side, they said it still could have worked but lj farged up again on the blocking scheme.

QB Eagles

The team needs a radical shakeup. Lurie isn't going to fire Reid, so it's time for Reid to step up to the plate and make some drastic changes with the way the Eagles prepare and play. I don't even care if many of the changes fall flat and make the team even worse... what I want to see is effort to change the way this team has been approaching games. They need a wakeup call.... they'e not "16 points away" like Reid said, and they're not playing good football.

What does he have to lose, another season like 2005 or last year? Go nuts. I liked seeing all the trickery on yesterday's first drive, and I liked seeing the pass/run mix too. Too bad the offense soon reverted to typical Reidism.

Our franchise TE farged up the play? Say it isn't so Andy!

Problem is the trickery doesn't seem to work much anymore. Flea flickers used to work. Now the result in McNabb getting planted or 12yd gains.

The double reverse should be used a lot. That and variations of it. DEs in the NFL are overaggressive and will not always hold that edge. Catch him crashing, and you have a huge gain. Get him holding the edge and it opens huge holes to run between LT and LG/ RT and RG.

But yeah. Lurie is not firing Reid. Like I've always said, the only way he fires Andy is if he catches him cavorting with Christina. And that's not happening.

Reid will have to resign or turn in three straight 6-10's to get axed.

Red needs to deviate from the script, I agree.
