Not a convincing angle. We don't seem to be looking straight down over the goalline. Look at Briggs.

That being said, Walt Coleman's spotting was terrible tonight.

I thought it should have been challenged. I don't know if there's enough evidence there to overturn but, at that point I don't think you have a choice....you challenge and hope for the best.

Can't. It's under 2 minutes, it's a booth review.

It was not under two minutes at that juncture...and if it had been, I think the booth would have automatically reviewed it.

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

Yeah but how easy would it have been to get a TD with a simple QB sneak? Instead the do slow developing run plays

According to Coach SunMo, you don't sneak when all you need is a yard and a half and you have one of the strongest QB's in the league.

A farging tease, that's all they are.  They drew me in with the offensive output against a high school team, and Dallas.  The defensive effort against Pitt made me believe.  But they're an 8-8 team, AGAIN, with no shot at a SB win, which I knew starting the season,  and now know again.  Great.  Someone has to farging die, a slow painful death.  Prefereably me.

agreed, somewhat.
Without Westbrook they are a 6-10 to 8-8 team.

With westbrook they can go anywhere from 8-8 to 12-4. I'm still betting on 10-6 this year....which, with the way this division is playing right now, won't be enough to make the playoffs.

They were talking about this on the radio today. 10-6 in this division, unless something major happens in the next few weeks is a 4th place finish with how all these teams are playing.

Wasn't under two minutes. In any case, there was no "indisputable evidence" of a touchdown, and the play would not have been overturned.

I've got to be up to go to work in less than 3 hours.  Why do I continue to stay up for this bullshtein?

Because the mets suck worse.

On your own side of the 40 I wouldn't either. Iggs 45 to the opposing goalline a silent count sneak is the way to go. In fact, that should have been the very 1st play they called at the goalline. Don't even give them time to look at anything when the eagles get up there. Just get to the line, goose the center and plow the farg forward. Basic play calling.

observations:

booker is garbage. whether receiving, rushing, or blitz pickup...he sucks.

red zone offense is still terrible. sure not having andrews, smith, and westbrook hurts but you have to be able to score when you get that many TURNOVERS and esp when you have four chances from 1 yard out.

akers is done. unlike dawkins who can still be called on to make a play or two akers is completely worthless outside of the 40. in a game where the offense is struggling and the defense is providing field position you need your "ace" kicker to come through. he cant.

mcnabb has only one weapon on offense outside of westbrook and while thats 1 more than last yr....this weapon is a work in progress. desean pretty much cost them the game while also keeping them in the game.

on the last goaline series....i don't even know where to start. not one stretch play, one off tackle, one toss, one play action when the eagles go play action 90% of the time otherwise, not one bootleg, or qb sneak? WTF REID?

eagles overall seemed like they could sleep walk through this game and beat the bears. the bears scored under 2 min to start off the game. the eagles just seemed like they didn't care or think the bears could do anything. and what was the offensive gameplan without westbrook? just throw more?

the LBs are good against the run but terrible in pass defense. this is the 2nd or 3rd time this season where a RB or TE has just run by one of the LBs.

D'oh, that's right. But yeah there wasn't enough proof to challenge and they needed to keep those timeouts just in case. But a better string of play calls and it's a moot point. Thanks Andy!

Magical_Retard

oh and going along with how much akers sucks....it would have been nice if they went for that 4rth and 1 earlier in the game instead of attempting a 50 yd FG.

you have to know your kicker cant make it anymore. just run a QB sneak.

I agree with all of this except for the Rook. Not because I'm an apologist because he's a farging moron right now, but because his plays washed out. The zesty D lost the first half and the zesty O the second half and the ST (mainly Akers) lost the win.

This team needs better coaching. ST is still a liability... again. The kickoff coverage team sucks ass.

anyone notice the farging playcalling again?

where's the slants?  where's the short hooks?

time after time mcnabb is peeled off the ground, watching the replay all wr's run straight for 5-7 yards (or longer) then break.  the only time he did the dink and dunk shtein was when they drove the ball all the way down the field starting at the 10 min mark in the 4th quarter.  then our redzone offense choked, but where the farg was that playcalling when it was obvious the "hail mary" WCO wasn't working?

mother farger.

mother farging reid.

and can we farging cut 1 or 2 of considine/clemons/reed/daniels for someone who can make a god damn special teams play??
Pass.  Pass. Pass. PUNT.  No pro bowl WR's.  Pass. Pass. Pass. PUNT.  Retarded special teams.  Pass. Pass. Pass. PUNT.  "I've got to do a better job."  Pass. Pass. Pass. PUNT.  Running game shines for 3 plays. Pass. Pass. Pass. PUNT.  No adjustments anywhere.  Pass.  Pass. Pass. PUNT.  (repeat)

I couldn't even look at the 31 yarder because I half-expected them to find some way to farg that one up too.
