It's easily responded to anyway. "Senator has proven over the course of the past year just how wrong I was about his readiness to lead. He's shown strength and conviction and I'm honored to be running with him."

Everyone needs to settle down.

Exactly.  It's good fodder for McCain to trot out right now before Biden had a chance to say the opposite 500 times, but it will be a distant memory by November.

I agree with IGY, Biden would be best at SOS, but he's still a great choice for VP

McCain's strategy is interesting on that...what happens if/when he selects Romney as his running mate? Everything Romney said about McCain was far worse than anything Biden said about Obama. Seems to me it was a really stupid way to go after this and they didn't think it through before putting that ad out there.

McCain's handlers are running precisely the sort of campaign that guarantees his defeat.  That ad was lame beyond belief.  It'll play with right-wing fargs who beat off to the likes of Neil Bortz & Rush Limbaugh, but anyone with half a brain will see that bullshtein for what it is.

Well, if he were going to pick Romney, you'd have a point.  Get ready for McCain/Pawlenty.

I've already had pawlenty of McCain, thank you very much.

Bush could never really claim to be good at anything. How he was elected over Gore I don't know.

Bill Clinton's Lewinsky.

Who knew that a blow job could have such horrible ramifications. We can thank the Repubelicans for capitalizing on it - i.e. when the Repubelican congress spent all its time on the big witch hunt. Yea, sigh, those were the good ole days too.

Mostly because Gore ran an awful campaign and couldn't even win his home state.  And because Floridian democrats from Palm Beach couldn't vote correctly.

QuoteMadonna's apparent swipe at McCain came during a performance of the song "Get Stupid", when the Republican contender's image was flashed up alongside images of destruction and global warming as well as Hitler and Mugabe.
