Generation Kill finale was okay, the series was excellent but I felt the ending was a bit of a letdown.

In seasons passed, I would be tolerant and use the computer in the room while Mrs. Birder watched "Dancing with the Stars." Now that Warren Sapp is supposed to be on it, I will definitely leave the room if she insists on watching it.

I've always wondered..in a context such as this one, is it correct to say "passed" or "past?"  Or do both suffice?
