OK... obviously, I went back and read this bullshtein.

Quote"They've all played well when they've got a chance to play, Hank (Baskett) a couple years ago made some big plays for us, Greg Lewis has made big plays — in the Super Bowl scored a touchdown — Jason Avant we think is going be a super inside player, and then you add DeSean (Jackson) to the mix, and we think we have a very good group of receivers.

Heckert wants us to belive his line of bull but has to go back as far as 3 farging years ago to find an example of these sorry motherfargers doing a damn thing.  I mean, this farger is reaching all the way back to when TO was still on the farging team.

There's no way in the world he believes this shtein.  No way.

I'd say there's a 99% chance they don't believe it.  Then again, this is the Eagles front office we're talking about, so anything's possible.

I wonder if Heckert knows that Ashley Lelie could be available.

it's probably a contest that Reid, Banner, and Heckert have to see who can say the douchiest, most condescending thing in the paper and get the fans angry

Heckert just took the lead, by a lot

Heckert is the Usain Bolt of the FO in that race.

You have to wonder if they have some laughs about this stuff behind the scenes.  I'd assume so.

the worst part is, i'll still watch the game tonight & the linc will be full all season long.  :deion :deion

Maybe I'm just getting old...but, man, I just have a hard time getting as worked up about this stuff as I used to.  Of course the FO is going to try to sell it that way.  Of course they know it's bullshtein.  They know they don't have a whole hell of a choice about who the WRs will be at this point.  Why care what Heckert is saying now?

ice grillin you

point missed in a huge way

if you still dont care i can understand that but at least know what we are upset about

ive come to the conclusion that this team will never win a championship, while teams like the Cowpukes make moves to get guys like Pacman, low risk, high reward.  This team thinks the system solves all.  farg it

this shtein reminds me of how ed wade would talk up some crappy pitcher he signed accomplishments that happened 3 years earlier. oh paul abbott won 17 games when he was on steroids in 2001, hes great. oh mike williams saved 30 games for the pirates in 1999, welcome aboard.

i mean he seriously sold greg lewis to the fans on the basis that he scored a touchdown in the superbowl, WHICH WAS 4 fargING YEARS AGO. do people really buy into this stuff?
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

You missed the point, actually.  It's clear you're more upset that Heckert/Banner/Reid say certain things like this recent drivel than actually concerned they believe what they say.  Still, some of us couldn't care less what they say and are waiting to see if their actions actually follow up.

They made the trade for TO happen when the receivers were fine.  They tried to talk Randy Moss into signing when the receivers were fine.  Guess what?  The receivers are still fine.  We all get it.

But if they try to actually play a season with these dopes, I will point and laugh at my own team... unless DeSean Jackson is literally the next Jerry Rice.

Nonsense DJack is much faster than Rice was.

no, it's not that they say stuff like the receivers are fine...it's the shots at the fans that are so infuriating.
