Will Eagles pursue Boldin?
Quote
Contrary to popular belief, the Eagles' organization did pursue several prominent wide receivers this off-season, including Randy Moss (reports had him going back to New England for less money), Larry Fitzgerald (the Eagles were interested enough to offer a first rounder and Lito Sheppard), and Roy Williams (again involving disgruntled CB Lito Sheppard).

The media also had them connected to the likes of Chad Johnson (although the taterskins, who reportedly offered an '08 and '09 draft choice, were certainly more serious about him), and Anquan Boldin.

QuoteThe fact that Anquan Boldin is available may have an effect on the organization, or it may not. They might not even pick up the phone to give the Cardinals a call.

That's just how the Eagles are.

QuoteRemember, earlier in the off-season Head Coach Andy Reid said that he was happy with the team's current wide receivers, much to the ridicule of Eagles fans.

But that statement does not seem to have been echoed by the rest of the organization, not only in light of their highly publicized interest in the wide receivers mentioned above, but also in the fact that this may be both Reid's and McNabb's last year in Philly.

All opinion, nothing substantial.

Can anyone find a legitimate reason the Eagles shouldn't trade for Boldin?  Because I'd love to know what is going through their heads right now.

QuoteCurtis to have sports hernia surgery
Eagles wide receiver Kevin Curtis will have sports hernia surgery and will be sidelined for a significant amount of time, coach Andy Reid said today.

Curtis was injured against Carolina last Thursday. He tried to practice this week but struggled, leading to the decision to have the surgery.

Reid said he is not interested in bringing in another receiver at this time. With Reggie Brown still out with a hamstring injury, the starting receivers Friday against New England will be DeSean Jackson in Brown's spot and either Hank Baskett or Greg Lewis in Curtis' spot.

More on this story later.

Brown will be hobbled all season, and Curtis is out at least half the season (and won't be 100% when he returns).

So, um, this situation is a bit desperate.

Jesus Christ...you have got to be farging kidding me with this Curtis news

PoopyfaceMcGee

Jesus Christ doesn't farging kid around, man.  Kevin Curtis could tell you that.

New WR Depth Chart:
1. DeSean Jackson
2. Hank Baskett
3. Greg Lewis
4. Jason Avant
5. Mike Gasperson
6. IGY

I think this team is in some trouble.

Reid needs to be fired.

Now.

If he really said that, he's stealing drugs from his son's ass.

im pretty sure thats just Reid not tipping his hat towards their move.  They'll end up with Horn, and Bouldin will go to the cowboys now, book it

The Cardinals not entertaining offers would be a fairly solid reason.
