i guess i'm goddamn old because the only music channel i listen to on sirius is backspin & i can't stand any of the new stuff they play on the other hip hop stations.
oh well.

I can't listen to anything after the early 90's. In other words I hate Tupac and feel rap/hip hop went on a slow downward spiral since him.

i hate tupac more than anyone but he had four albums before hip-hop started to go down hill...hip-hop died for numerous reasons but all combined arent bigger than sampling laws...that is what essentially ended hip-hop as we knew it

i love how the source didnt even give gangstarr four mics...so many great albums came out back then that you had to downgrade some classics or else it would look like you loved everything...you notice in a lot of reviews from back then that there isnt a single negative thing said about a particular album yet its rating doesnt equal its review

if daily op came out today it would be a million mic record

i'm in a rental with sirius this week so it's new to me but i haven't switched it off backspin yet.  it's a good station, me and sb were talking earlier about how it's gets a little repetitive.  i love de la soul and tribe and mc lyte, but its basically about 25 artists over and over.  i've heard more kid n' play this week than i have in the last 20 years.

I didn't have any Gang Starr albums so I just bought the Full Clip 2 disc set with the "best" 40 songs or whatever. How the HELL is Moment of Truth not on there.
