I would also like to attack the notion that the Muslim religion is bad because of some things in the Koran. The same can be said of the New Testament and Old Testaments in some respects which have inspired radical cults of suicide and genocide over the centuries.

The drawback to marital longevity is your wife always knows when you're really interested in her and when you're just trying to bury it.

If Snowball got to vote for Bob Terwilliger, there's no stopping TSM from voting. He was right about one thing though, that will be his last post here.

it's also a close up look at the right wing playbook this coming fall
Yes it is... and that exactly is why I am so damn tired of politics. Let's throw as much shtein at the opponent as possible and see if we can get the mass public to believe it.

That's all politics is.

And has been for a very long time.

How about this for a slam on McCain...and it isn't even from MSNBC!

QuoteIf John McCain doesn't stop changing his position on the issues, he threatens to make John Kerry look like an amateur.

In other news, Obama is polling ahead of McCain in states worth 344 electoral votes.  Barring a major meltdown, this thing has the makings of a landslide.

The states with outlines are polling at a < 5% margin, but he would only need to win 2 out of the key battleground states (MI, OH, VA and FL) or one of those and Missouri and NM to reach 270.  This election is going to be too broad for McCain's funds to hold up to the Obama money machine.
An ad hominem fallacy consists of asserting that someone's argument is wrong and/or he is wrong to argue at all purely because of something discreditable/not-authoritative about the person or those persons cited by him rather than addressing the soundness of the argument itself.
