obama said if he gets attacked he will defend himself in a big way...to read anything more into what he said than that is a huge reach...if you dont like barry thats completely understandable because there are serious issues you can question him on...but to spin such a meaningless comment reeks of haterade

Uneducated people being allowed to vote is even better.

Elitism much?  The truly "educated" make up less than 50% of American voters, and the uneducated span both sides of the aisle.

rjs246

When it comes to this shtein you're goddamned right I'm elitist. Allowing people who don't understand the issues or know anything about the candidates to vote is infuriating. I'm not proposing an alternative, but when people are still insisting that Obama is a Muslim 9 months after it has ben well established that he is not they should be disallowed from taking part in the system. they don't even have the ability to engage themselves and yet they are allowed to vote? Please.

I'm sorry, what's so wrong with elitism?  If you think what Russell is saying is elitist, then chalk me down for elitism.

You can add the founding fathers to the list after my name, too.

I personally would love to restrict voting to those that actually attempt to figure out for whom they're voting, but this is America, where the average person is pretty farging stupid.

Ignorance is so awesome. Uneducated people being allowed to vote is even better. Clown.

Not sure you want to challenge my education level there champ. I'd bet the farm that I'm far more educated than you.

And for the record, I'm probably not going to vote this year. I have followed it enough to know that i dont like anybody running. I'm so pissed at the republican party for having no one better than Grampy McCain

rjs246

You've followed it enough to think that Obama is a Muslim. Please don't vote.

Republicans love to throw the word elitist around because they lead the dumbest motherfargers on earth.  People who define "elitism" as "can and does read."

There is no excuse, none, for failing to read newspapers and books, to know who the principals are, what they stand for, etc.  If you don't know that, you are doing as much damage to the United States as any goddamned terrorist could.

cindy mccain copying her cookie recipes qualifies as a big story in this country...you do the math.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Dio: Don't get into Republican vs. Democrat when it comes to ignorance. They exist in equal parts.

only the right could try to negatively label people who are educated

Yes, as usual, a Democrat loves to assume that the Natty Light-swilling rednecks make up the majority of the "dumbass" voting bloc.  You really think that most of the people that benefit primarily from bigger government and more entitlement programs are voting Republican?

Basically, your assumption that effort to truly understand the issues is greater on your side of the aisle is grossly misplaced.  You have your share of ignoramuses lined up to vote for Obama.

And only the left would negatively label people who have worked hard to become successful businessmen.

It works both ways. Getting into a 'the right is better/stupid, no, the left is better/stupid' conversation is idiotic because both sides are stupid.
