oh, nothing recently.

But the "guns and religion" comment immediately comes to mind.

Or "You're likable enough".

Neither of those is really that bad.  Standing alone, as if some nobody like me said them.  But he's running to be the leader of the (once) most powerful nation in the world.  You can't make verbal gaffes like that.  8 years of them have been enough.
Anyone but Reid.

ice grillin you

thats your standard for a us president and yet youre gonna vote for mcain...wow

sounds like to me youre searching for any possible reason to not vot for barry...which is cool if you dont like him for his stance on issues so be it but that might be the weakest reason ive ever heard not to vote for someone
i can take a phrase thats rarely heard...flip it....now its a daily word

igy gettin it done like warrick

im the board pharmacist....always one step above yous

MadMarchHare

Hell, I'm looking for a reason to vote for anyone.

And I still don't see a candidate here to get excited over.  So my best case scenario is political stagnation.
Anyone but Reid.

If Obama does pick Clinton, it's not like I wouldn't want to vote for him just solely because of her, although that weighs in heavy, but because of the way it would make him look in my eyes after all the mudslinging that went on. He'd lose a lot of credibility, imo.

No, he has an Appalachian Racist problem.  He had no problem with working-class whites in Oregon and Washington.

Google "gays guns god".  This is not a new concept, but yeah - he needs to watch the wording.

I'm more for the split administration: first term or half term with congress and the president in the same party.  That way they can get some stuff fixed and get some new ideas on the tracks.  Then shift congress back to the opposition to moderate things a bit.

On another note, all must bow before the god of poll geekery, Nate Silver.  What really stands out about his approach is that he weights polls based on the pollster's previous success, and he does a detailed analysis of the demographics involved based on past results.  He also predicts a "unity bounce" for Obama as the Clinton supporters realize that McBush is pro-war and pro-life (how's that for irony?).

Let the real hate begin...

An ad hominem fallacy consists of asserting that someone's argument is wrong and/or he is wrong to argue at all purely because of something discreditable/not-authoritative about the person or those persons cited by him rather than addressing the soundness of the argument itself.

Obama may end up being a terrible president, but I'm will to take that risk. 4 years of questionable leadership is preferable to 30 more years of conservative justices on the surpeme court.
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

Um, aren't there plenty of anti-war/pro-abortion people out there, including Obama?

I'm just saying... the irony goes both ways.  There is basically no one in Washington that can make a valid "sanctity of life" argument.

Well thank goodness none of those "Appalachian Racist" states are swing states.
Anyone but Reid.

Now that Hillary isn't going to be president, and assuming that she won't be the VP candidate, what's the over under on how long it takes for the Clintons to get divorced? I say no more than 4 years. Bill's got too much ass to chase to be putting up with a dead-weight wife who is only a senator.

No way.  He and Hillary have an arrangement that's working for both of them.

This just in:  Hillary's camp spent $109k per delegate.
QuoteEighteen million votes: $212 million. Some 1,926 delegates: $109,823 a pop. Blowing the biggest head start in presidential history: priceless.

That's an interesting point and you're probably right. Still, I get the feeling that both of them are a farging nightmare to live with.

That's not really a problem when you basically don't actually live together anyway.  I doubt they've even slept in the same bed once in the last 15 years.

Obama co-sponsors bi-partisan bill for Nat'l Fingerprint Registration in the mortgage market

Yet another example of the government overreacting by treating people in the mortgage business as criminals.

Dn't know if this is a repeat or not...but I thought it was interesting because McCain's always supposedly been a man of character...
