i think youre an idiot.

some years the division winner sucks and doesnt deserve to host a game. some years its a tough division and they deserve it. so you just keep it as is and dont fight.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

I still think it's a reasonable change. Look at 2003 as an example. The Titans finished 12-4 behind the Colts, and had to travel to the 10-6 Ravens for their first round game. And the AFC North sucked that year, the remaining teams went 8-8, 6-10, and 5-11. I think in cases like that, the Titans deserve to have home field advantage over the Ravens.

pretty sure everyone understands the argument genius they just dont agree

I'm not fighting anything. Just saying that if they make the change I won't mind it much at all.

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

PoopyfaceMcGee

You don't get to host as a wild card unless you're the higher-seeded one and both make it to the conference championship.  Period.  Division winners host first round.

Father Demon

You are all forgetting the most important rule-change issue up for discussion:

Quote
Mike Nolan thinks there are reasons beyond safety for the proposal that could lead to an NFL ban on hair hanging from the back of helmets.

"The nameplate is on his back; the number is on his back," the San Francisco 49ers coach said Sunday, the day before the NFL's meetings officially begin. "That's what we want the fans to see. Not his hair."

The idea of banning long hair—players would be allowed to tuck it under their helmets—was proposed by the Chiefs. Kansas City's Larry Johnson tackled Pittsburgh's Troy Polamalu by the hair after an interception in a 2006 game.
The drawback to marital longevity is your wife always knows when you're really interested in her and when you're just trying to bury it.

I suggest they ban crazy-ass shoulder pads that distort the nameplate. And they really need to crack down on names that are too long.

"For all the civic slurs, for all the unsavory things said of the Philadelphia fans, also say this: They could teach loyalty to a dog. Their capacity for pain is without limit." -Bill Lyons

NFL announces the Week 1 Prime Time schedule:

General_Failure

So, the Giants will be playing with 10 men on defense, yes?

The man. The myth. The legend.

PoopyfaceMcGee

Why, did one of their guys get shot in the fleshpop too?

Gene

Everyone knows the Giants will be the secondary story that night.

Just ask anyone on ES.

PoopyfaceMcGee

Well, the Giants aren't going to finish as well as they did last year!  BOLD PREDICTIONS BY FREDDIE!
