perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

i don't even care who the #3 rb is...they don't run the ball enough for it to matter.
i do like kevin jones as the #2 instead of buck....they're both injury prone but jones is more of a weapon since he can catch the ball out of the backfield.  they wouldn't have to change the offense as much if, god forbid, westbrook missed a few games.

Does everyone remember how much PT Duce Staley got his rookie year?

Duce showed himself to be pretty good as a kick returner in his rookie year.

The man. The myth. The legend.

If Jones tore his ACL in December of 2007 he will be totally useless this year.
The conventional wisdom is that it usually takes two years for a RB to come back from an ACL tear.
6 months to learn how to run again and 2 years to get all of your balance back.
That kind of injury will gaurentee his mediocrity for at least the upcmoing season, if not the next one.
I would much rather have us draft a back or two.

so you're saying jones vs  buckhalter would be a wash?

Damn, I suck at spelling.
I think that jones would add nothing to the team. Buck has actually played pretty well the past two years.
His YPC is pretty high, he just never gets used.
I would rather that roster space go to a draft pick than an injured, never-was.

I'd be fine with adding Jones.  Assuming Buck is kept.

So you basically want them to replace Hunt with Jones?  Can't say I'm on board with that.
