Quote—There are rumors that backup quarterback A.J. Feeley might be traded soon, possibly to Green Bay. With the Eagles expected to move '07 second-round pick Kevin Kolb up to the No. 2 spot next season behind starter Donovan McNabb, Feeley is expendable. And the Packers are looking for a proven backup now that Brett Favre has retired and Aaron Rodgers has moved into the starting job.

how can you saw Hunt is a bust when he wasn't even active for half the games last year?  he's a big strong guy who can break tackles.

he reminds me a lot of an eddie george type...I AM NOT SAYING HE'S GOING TO BE EDDIE GEORGE.  however, eddie george was slow as molasses and he was fine in the league.  hunt's role isn't to break 30 yard runs, it's to pick up 3 yards when you need it.

Have they signed someone else's garbage yet?

Darrell Jackson, here we come!

The BIGSTUD

It's funny because if Darrell Jackson came here, he'd put up better numbers than anyone in San Fran.

Still need a #1 though.
Calling it right on the $ since day one.
Just pointing laughing, and living it up while watching the Miami Heat stink it up.

The big problem with Hunt so far is that he's really, really bad at picking up the blitz.  He's gotta work on his blocking big-time to not be an utter liability on the field.

Trust me, I want him to turn the corner this year.  But we'll see.

Buck sucked balls picking up the blitz his first two years too. He has turned into a decent blocker though. It takes time; the blitz pickups and the passing game are the last two things to come for young RBs.

I wouldn't give up on Hunt yet.

On the Feeley note; trade his ass.

Yep, especially when you look at the school's that Buck and Hunt come from.  Nebraska and PSU aren't exactly known for their explosive passing games.

PoopyfaceMcGee

They passed a lot at PSU while Hunt was there.  No excuse there.

SunMo

and he was a good blocker in the passing game

but getting reps with the scout team at practice doesn't help you learn the blitz pickups...that's on the coach
I'm the Anti-Christ. You got me in a vendetta kind of mood.

PoopyfaceMcGee

I'm not ready to blame Reid just yet.  The 3rd RB isn't going to get many reps with the big guys on any team.

Munson

Exactly...so everyone labeling him a waste of a pick already is ridiculous. He's in his second year. Does everyone remember how much PT Duce Staley got his rookie year? 7 carries. He was a 1000 yard back the next year.

Hunt is no Staley obviously but christ....give the guy more then 1 year as a rookie behind Brian Westbrook.

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds
