Pushing my PSU pride aside, I would suppose he'd be an upgrade over Tony Hunt.  Maybe.  farg him anyway, though.

Hunt is a flat out bust, I hated that pick. I'd rather see two gimps like Buck and Jones as Westbrooks backup, when healthy at least they give you something whereas Hunt gives you zilch.

Wouldn't that be something if Jones called a PC to announce he signed with a new mystery team, held up an Eagles jersey then threw it aside only to hold up a Skins jersey?

It is a little early to call Hunt a bust don't you think SD? That being said, Kevin Jones would give the Eagles a viable feature back if Westbrook went down for any length of time.  He would be a great pick up imo.

Nope, I thought he was a 5th round pick at best. He's too slow to play at this level. Awful pick, I've already written him off.

i agree with sd...hunt is a sloth who doesnt make up for that with any sort of special burst or power....hes another classic reid vanilla pick...he reminds me of abiamiri but on offense

Dudes just a football player.  I don't know I agree he is slow, but I still think it is too early to say he isn't going to amount to anything.  Again though I would have no problem with them bringing in Jones.

jones on the cheap is great. using him in limited stretches while the countdown to the inevitable torn acl begins is a great idea.

how can you saw Hunt is a bust when he wasn't even active for half the games last year?  he's a big strong guy who can break tackles.

he reminds me a lot of an eddie george type...I AM NOT SAYING HE'S GOING TO BE EDDIE GEORGE.  however, eddie george was slow as molasses and he was fine in the league.  hunt's role isn't to break 30 yard runs, it's to pick up 3 yards when you need it.

The big problem with Hunt so far is that he's really, really bad at picking up the blitz.  He's gotta work on his blocking big-time to not be an utter liability on the field.

Trust me, I want him to turn the corner this year.  But we'll see.

I've seen enough of him in college to know he's never gonna amount to shtein in the NFL. He's a perfect productive college back. Limited speed, limited burst, breaks tackles etc. I thought he was slow to the hole at PSU but now that he's in the NFL its even worse.

the other problem is the eagles want to use him for everything except what should be the primary responsibility at his position. goal line situations he was never given a chance. even in those meaningless games which now the eagles champion as momentum builders.

heck buck did not get enough carries per game you think they would actually give hunt enough time? they say he can not pick up the blitz and it probably true. he is probably not a great WR out of the backfield either. but he is RB first and should be given a chance to rush the ball. especially in goal line and short yardage situations. at least put him on the field to be a decoy in those scenarios.
